Ask Beth/FAQ
I’m embarrassed by the mess. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Clutter is a result of a busy life, not a personal flaw. My process is 100% judgment-free.
Where will my unwanted items go?
Together we decide how to responsibly rehome unwanted items—through donations, online resale, or consignment. I can also prioritize donation centers, nonprofits, or local organizations especially meaningful to you.
What if I’m not ready to let go of something?
There is zero pressure. We use a "parking lot" system for items you aren't sure about. You decide whether to keep, trash or donate, when you are ready.
Do I need to be onsite with you while you work?
It depends. For decluttering, you’ll need to be available to make keep/donate/sell/trash decisions. Once items are sorted, I organize independently. If you are short on time, you have the option to pre-sort on your own and then I organize independently. We’ll tailor the plan to your schedule and preferences.
Do I need to buy any containers or bins prior to our first session?
Not at all! I prefer to repurpose what you already own first. If we need more, we will discuss. This is another way to keep costs down.
What town will you travel to work?
I travel throughout Eastern MA (and beyond for larger projects!).
What will it cost?
Think of it as a one-time investment in your home and well-being. You’ll stop spending money on duplicate items, eliminate impulse buying, and avoid temporary storage fixes because you'll finally know exactly what you own. BreathingRoom is a one-time investment with a lifetime return.
Hourly Sessions
-
Billed between $75 -$100 per hour, depending on the size and scope of your project. Sessions typically booked in 2, 4, or 6-hour blocks.
Multi-Day Projects
-
For larger, multi-day projects (typically 1+ days), I offer a discounted flat rate based on the size and scope of your space.
*Removal of donations and trash billed separately.
How we can keep costs down to work within my budget?
-
Prioritize your highest-need areas and I’ll leave “homework” to do on your own (e.g., disposing trash, sorting hangers).
-
Repurpose containers, bags and bins that you already own.
-
Offset costs by selling or consigning clothing and household items.
-
A permanent investment: Unlike recurring costs like landscaping or house cleaning, professional organizing is a one-time service with a lasting payoff. Once your custom systems are in place, it’s done!
